In line with our Wellness Travel Edit that launches later this month, and whilst we wait for the weather to warm up, I am casting my mind to places far-flung. This month in my May must-haves I bring you my ultimate packing list, retreats that should be on your bucket list and my ultimate plane outfit.

Wellness Retreats…

Best for YOGA: Wylder

These yoga retreats, set on the tranquil side of Ibiza, have become so popular that Founder Charlotte Townend has added more and more dates and locations (including Formentera and Menorca) to her roster each year. Expect delicious and nutritious cuisine, jewellery or pottery workshops, outdoor cinema evenings and lots of vinyasa yoga that focuses on strength and mobility. I’m booked on for one soon and am counting down the day.

Best for PILATES: Heartcore Retreat

I went to Heartcore’s Pilates Retreat in St Tropez last year and came back as a different person, which I did not expect. It was so full of joy, the itinerary included coastal walks, luxury boat trips, lots of nourishing meals and there was even some of France’s best Rosé on offer for those who wanted it (we all did!). It was the sort of trip where I went out knowing no one and came back feeling connected to nearly everyone else there. I felt like a piece of me I had lost after having kids came back to me. It was transformative.

Best for MEDI-SPA: SHA Wellness

Full disclosure – I have not been to SHA Wellness but I have wanted to visit for as long as I can remember. Set in the south of Spain (there are also SHA spas in Mexico and Allurf, an island between Dubai and Abu Dhabi) it strikes the perfect balance between health clinic and holistic retreat and their integrative method prides itself on adding years to life and quality of life to years. Their gut-health programme is hugely popular right now.

Best for HOLISTIC HEALTH: Andronis Concept Wellness Resort

Set on the island of Santorini in Greece The Andronis Concept Wellness Resort has  launched the Empower Retreat in partnership with the mindful movement community, Sanctum and renowned wellbeing experts including Editor’s fave acupuncturist, Ross J. Barr. Workshops include breath work, Kundalini yoga, primal fitness, acupuncture, astrology-themed somatic groundings, fire ceremonies and soundscapes to provide a truly unique experience to each guest.

Best for LAID BACK LUXURY: Silver Linings

Founder of Silver Linings, Chrissy Sundt was previously a Royal Ballet trained ballerina, she discovered Pilates as a fantastic way to keep herself toned, fit and strong and it quickly became an important part of her wellness routine – so much so that she retrained as a Pilates instructor and became one of the most sought after trainers in London. But Pilates isn’t the only thing Chrissy knows how to do well, luxury is also a huge part of her skill set! And the Silver Linings Retreat is no exception – set on a private Island in the Bahamas in one of the most exclusive resorts, Chrissy has curated a retreat that also feels like an exclusive holiday.

Heliocare Pediatric Stick, £24.99

The Heliocare 360° Pediatrics Stick is an easy-to-apply SPF formulated specifically for the delicate skin of babies and children, with high-level, full-spectrum protection and additional antioxidants and ingredients to enhance and protect their delicate skin barrier.

Free People Solid & Striped The Kaia Bikini Bottoms, £176

I have tiny boobs and what used to be known as “child-bearing” hips. The frill on this bikini is the perfect antidote to both.

Sleep Patches, Ross J Barr, £15

I love all of Ross J Barr’s patches, but the sleep ones really are great for jet lag or long flights. They contain herbs such as wild jujube seed, coix seed and polygala – all selected for their ability to calm the mind and help induce a restful sleep.

Birkenstock Arizona Shearling, £130

I live in these all year round and you’d be forgiven for thinking that they make your feet hot in the summer but they actually don’t.

Ocean Bottle, Sun Orange (500ml), £35

This bottle stops 1000 plastic bottles from entering the ocean. It’s made from 90% recycled stainless steel and recycled materials and are 100% dishwasher safe.
