Summer is here and the thought of warm sand underneath our feet, tranquil afternoons in the sun, delicious meals outside, and rejuvenating self-care after a long winter are definitely things quite high up on our wish list. A favourite destination for both a tranquil and healthy summer vacation is Ibiza, and cute boutique hotels, plant-based restaurants, yoga classes, and spa hotels are scattered across the whole island.

In addition to some old favourites in our “Little Black Book” Guide to Ibiza, here are a few other spots and must-visits if you’re planning a getaway this season. Relish luxurious boutique hotels, delectable foods, yoga, and spa sessions as you peruse these peaceful Ibiza boltholes:

Can Sastre Boutique Hotel

This family-owned gem is run by the lovely Dutch couple Raymond and Bibi who fell in love with the island and moved their family to live and work here full-time. They opened this small boutique hotel in 2018 and it is undoubtedly one of the most serene sanctuaries in Ibiza. The rooms each have their own unique style and are filled with beige and white interiors and some hints of black. Raw linen fabrics and rustic wooden details (they have kept a lot of the original parts of the old building even though it has been renovated) are fused with a modern design, which adds this bohemian-luxury feel to it. Spend the afternoon in their little garden and mini version of a beach club, and don’t forget to try their homemade açaí bowl for breakfast.

Ibizazen Boutique Hotel

Another bohemian gem run by a lovely couple is Ibizazen – a tranquil and secluded little hideaway resting serenely by Santa Eulària des Riu. With a beautiful lush garden full of palm trees, flowers, and Buddha statues, as well as a little pond with turtles, the hotel is full of peaceful spots for yoga or meditation. Spending an afternoon in their sunbeds by the pool is also a perfect option and don’t miss their little shop by the reception. You will quickly feel at home here in your colourful and bohemian room!

The Giri Residence

This Bali-inspired hideout located up north on the island is another pearl to check out if you want to nourish your body and mind. The gorgeous rooms are all unique and have a very calm and spa-like feeling to them. The little reception and gardens are lovely as well, and right next door is The Giri Café, the perfect place for a wholesome dinner in their exquisite garden and outside patio. Don’t miss the weekend market in town and on the street right outside the hotel where you can find everything from crystals and incense to healthy food and drinks.

Atzaró Agroturismo Hotel

One of the most luxurious and outstanding spots on the island is the renowned Atzaró, where historic and bohemian Ibiza flair meets modern wellness luxury. Set in a 300-year-old finca, Atzaró Agroturismo Hotel consists of 24 rooms, several restaurants, a magnificent pool, a yoga shala, outdoor cinema, a spa, vegetable gardens, and open, lush areas for the guests to enjoy. One of the highlights of this paradise is the space and 13-hectare big area of the estate. Hence, this is where to go if you want a bit of quality time away from people and really crave some peace and quiet. Moreover, what really elevates this hotel is the food, which is absolutely amazing and the vegetables, herbs, and fruits are grown in their own garden. Spend a day (or five) by their stunning pool, join any of the yoga classes in the evening, and don’t miss their spa and hammam baths!

La Paloma restaurant

Another favourite spot for some nourishment and fuel up north is La Paloma restaurant – the go-to place where locals flock for lunch outside in the sunshine or a healthy breakfast. With a menu focusing on fresh vegetables and greens, with wholesome pastas, sandwiches and kids options as well, La Paloma has something for everyone. Take a stroll among the tables in their gorgeous garden and remember to try their hummus!

Hotel Riomar

Santa Eulària des Riu in the northwest of the island has been growing a lot over the past few years and is definitely an up-and-coming area with new restaurants and hotels popping up. Two new restaurant options in the area are Chiringuito Blue (where their juice “Super Green” is a must-order) and Vé Café (relish their vegan menu and make sure to order their chocolate raw ball for something sweet), located right by the striking new Hotel Riomar. With daily yoga classes on their outdoor deck, a fitness studio, and a lovely pool surrounded by big, white sunbeds, this hotel is a new hotspot to add to your list.

ME Ibiza

This gorgeous tranquil oasis located right by the ocean in Santa Eulària, is perfect for a peaceful Ibiza getaway. The rooms are designed with a modern and minimalistic interior, and the hotel also offers a rooftop, a pool, a 24-hour gym, as well as a spa and yoga classes. A highlight and must-try is their antigravity yoga where you get to defy the laws of physics in your favourite asanas.
