If meditation is not really your thing but you want to introduce mindfulness into your life, MasterPeace is London’s first dedicated mindful art experience. Founders, Zena and Georgie have brought together a team of 15 friendly artist instructors, each professional artists in their own right, with backgrounds in mindfulness, meditation, art therapy and more to create a peaceful space where you can explore your creativity.

Set in one of London’s beautiful hidden treasures, Eccleston Yard, the workshop is a safe haven filled from top to bottom with wonderful pieces of art, all created at MasterPeace. Decorated with wild blooms to spark creativity and floor to ceiling glass windows, MasterPiece floods in natural light to give the ideal environment for creating artwork.

Born out of the idea to completely disconnect from the outside world (especially our phones and laptops!) and exploring your creativity, MasterPeace gives you the opportunity to remember what it was like to create something with your hands and learn a new skill. Proven to reduce stress and anxiety, mindful painting is a great way to boost your mental health and simply zone out from a few hours. It’s so rare now that we give ourselves that time to switch off from our chaotic lifestyles, and it is not always an easy task. We cannot help but get distracted and invested in the stresses of everyday life, which is why art is such a useful tool for practising mindfulness as it gives you something to really focus on and delve deep into your creativity so you are less likely to get distracted! The end results will give you a sense of achievement and will be a constant reminder that you have the ability to create beautiful MasterPeace’s.

Accessible to all, MasterPeace offers a wide range of art and sketching sessions, so whether you haven’t picked up a paintbrush since you were at school or you’re a budding artist, there will most certainly be a class for you. Each session is around 90 minutes which includes all materials – from the custom-made smocks to the acrylic paints and canvases – as well as a brief meditation to start and a tutorial from a professional artist. Bottomless prosecco, tea, coffee and grazing boards are included too! We cannot recommend checking MasterPeace out enough, even if you think your artist skills are a little worst for wear, the instructors will ensure to get the best out of you. Brillant as an activity to do with family or friends, MasterPeace is definitely one to book!
