Bring on the January detox! It seems cliche to be talking about anything cleanse or detox related in January but we feel the spotlight has been taken off the humble juice cleanse in recent years and we want to give it some attention again.

There are many reasons to consider going on a juice cleanse, especially if you’re looking for a bit of a January detox after Christmas, but one of the main benefits often reported is significantly improved digestion. In a month where bloating and sluggish bowels are definitely more common, cleansing is a great way to reset your digestive system and give it a chance to reprogramme after the festive season. Allowing your body to take a break from heavy digesting, whether that be 1 day or 3 days, will not only benefit your digestive system but also improve the appearance of your skin (yes, please), give your more energy and boost your immunity.

Going in search of a cleanse that’s right for you can be a tricky task. You may already be aware, there are so many juice cleanse companies out there and sussing out which one is right for your individual goals really is the key to a successful experience. Below we’ve highlighted four brands we turn to when we need to add the pep back to our step!

PRESS london

PRESS – Good for variety
These guys are great if you can’t make up your mind on which type of cleanse you want to opt for. PRESS have so many options to choose from, you can even customise your own! There’s a beginner, intermediate or advance cleanse and they now do juice and soup combo cleanses for those that feel like they need a bit more sustenance.

Think Press Juice

Think Press – Good for the committed cleanser
Kent-based juice company, Think Press, offer amazing-tasting juices and are ideal for the cleanser veteran! There’s a choice of 3 days or 6 days and a variety of packages for different requirements. Hardcore cleansers will love the Detox box (expect lots of green!) whereas we love the Strengthen box as it contains a mix of green juices as well as a couple of mylks which help us feel more satisfied.

Plenish Cleanse – Good for customisation
We’ve been Plenish fans for many years now and our love is still going strong. We’d recommend Plenish for juicing beginners and pros alike as they offer incredibly versatile programmes that start at just one day. They offer a great introduction for newbies to the cleansing world and they have some really delicious flavours. Our faves being the Zingy Vitality and Antioxidant Protection! Plus, once you’ve discovered the juices and mylks you love, you can actually shop them all individually, meaning you can have a totally customisable cleansing experience.

The Detox Kitchen – Good for beginners
If you’re legs tremble at the thought of no food then fear not, The Detox Kitchen’s Flexi Green Cleanse means you can still reap the benefits of giving your digestive system a break while having some light grub to keep you going. Featuring light meals for breakfast and lunch along with some nuts to snack on and, not forgetting, the all-important juice, this is the perfect entry into the world of cleansing.
