Have you started dreaming about your summer holiday yet? If you’re lacking in inspiration then how about a trip to Grecian paradise? With regular flights from the UK and a reasonable flight time of 3-ish hours, Greece is a popular destination for Brits looking for glittering vistas and white sandy beaches to escape to. Below we’ve shared three new luxury hotels in Greece we have our sights set on this summer.

ELIVI, Skiathos (Pictured above)
Perched on a hilltop on the Pounta Peninsula overlooking the Aegean Sea, newly opened ELIVI Skiathos has announced it will be welcoming guests to experience their brand new rooms for their second season from the 26th April. The peaceful and secluded Grace area of the hotel will be offering two new rooms – Double Supreme Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites – that will either have long balconies, hot tubs or private plunge pools – what’s not to love?

You won’t go hungry as ELIVI Skiathos will offer 5 new restaurants, including the fine-dining restaurant Leda & The Swan, Hagoromo Sushi Bar and Asian restaurant, Nest Greek Fish Restaurant, Grace Restaurant serving Mediterranean and Italian cuisine and Nest Breakfast Restaurant. A new beach bar is also on the horizon too.

Within walking distance to some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches on the island, this really is the perfect refuge to relax and unwind at. If you want a mixture of drop and flop and something active to build up your appetite for all the delicious food you’ll undoubtedly be indulging in then Elivi have got you covered. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, yoga, tennis, outdoor gym, basketball, the ELIVI spa and more.

Syntopia Hotel

THE SYNTOPIA HOTEL, Crete
This new luxe all-inclusive hotel opens on 1st May and the gorgeous bohemian interiors will certainly have your friends gawping at your insta feed! Offering glamourous island living, The Syntopia is only a few minutes east of Rethymnon and not far from picturesque beaches.

Rethymnon city is filled with amazing sights to explore. You can visit the 16th-century Fortezza Venetian fortress, check out a traditional taverna and then visit the Egyptian lighthouse.

Inside the hotel, there are 119 guestrooms facing the sea, pool or inland that will become your private retreat to get some R&R.

If you want to work out, there are watersports, diving and sailing on the beach, weekly sports like cross training, body pump, tai chi and team running. Or, you can take it easy at the spa, with a hot tub, sauna and zen relaxation zone included. After sunset, guests can go to the open cinema and watch their favourite movies under the stars.

Marriott Blue Palace Crete

BLUE PALACE, A LUXURY COLLECTION RESORT & SPA, Crete
Blue Palace, located in Crete, will be revealing its new openings in April this year. Firstly, the new culinary concept Anthós will celebrate a new kind of Greek cuisine, inviting guests to wine and dine outside in the organic herb garden accompanied by beautiful, breezy weather. Guests will also be able to watch an entire team of chefs prepare their meal over fires in an open-air kitchen.

For the fashionistas out there, a new beach lifestyle boutique concept Apoella will showcase Greek brands, where artists will give talks each week in the Arsenali Lounge. Not only that, there will be an open-air cinema on the beach, where you can watch movie classics under the stars.

Spa lovers will find solace in The Elounda Spa with Ayurvedic-inspired treatments, heavenly couples massages, therapy baths and even massage lessons for those who want to brush up on their technique! Fitness lovers are also catered for with their state of the art techno gym-equipped studio. There’s also daily sunrise yoga on their private beach for those who want to start their day mindfully and centred.

With views to die for over Spinalonga Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nominee, we think this is a hotel to add to your travel bucket list this year.
