New to one of our favourite spots in West London, Barnes, is Grey Wolfe. This wellness haven encompasses soul-soothing treatments with a holistic approach, that not only offers total bliss but is also curated to give both your mind and body the reset it needs.
Led by a minimal aesthetic, the space has the most beautiful stone design which makes your experience all the most luxurious. Fitting with their name, grey tones feature heavily in the interiors and exteriors giving a sleek, seamless finish. With a small selection of mindful lifestyle items, Cowshed wellness products and sustainable clothing, Grey Wolfe doubles as a mini concept store.
Co-founded by female entrepreneurs, Sinéad Johnson and Sarah Jones, who are both well seasoned when it comes to all things health, wellbeing and beauty, Grey Wolfe are embodying a new style of spa where beauty is approached mindfully. What sets Grey Wolfe apart from the rest is that they gift you with the emotional tools and techniques to adopt harmony into your everyday. Each treatment goes beyond the four walls it initially takes place in, and what you take with you, is what will get you coming back.
The experience is intimate from the start, with a sense of tranquillity overcoming your body from the moment you step foot inside. Greeted by your therapist, you will be taken through an in-depth consultation that covers all aspects of your health and wellness, over a glass of infused water or herbal tea. This element allows the practitioner to give you an incredibly bespoke experience and will determine your personalised blend of essential oils from the GW Remedy Bar for your treatment.
Ultimately, alignment to create a sense of equilibrium between body, mind and spirit is the overarching theme that connects all the treatments on offer. Going beyond self-care and delving into soul-care, Grey Wolfe’s treatment list blurs the lines between holistic healing and beauty. From the specialised Nidra sleep treatment to Reiki therapy, reflexology and more, the ‘Body’ offerings are designed to restore energetic balance and promote healing. In partnership with H&H loved skincare brand Oskia, there is a variety of revitalising face treatments to choose from to achieve the optimal glow. Targeting both the face and body, the ‘Resurrection’ treatment is inspired by Oriental medicine and is rooted in harmonising energy flow in the body. There’s a selection of beauty-led treatments including waxing, brows, lashes, manicures and pedicures.
I was lucky enough to experience the ‘Grey Wolfe Signature Body’ treatment which provides 60 minutes of pure relaxation. Not knowing what to expect upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the treatment was much more than simply a body massage. To begin with, my therapist invited me to be as open as possible with her about my current state of mind and health to truly understand how she could give me the most effective therapy. I was instantly at ease with her and felt a sense of trust which entail allowed me to fully open up to her, this made my treatment all the more special. Positioned on the plush bed, we started off with some breathwork to trigger a calmer state. The treatment involved a holistic amalgamation of mindfulness, crystal healing, chakra balancing, full body massage, reflexology and foot mapping…it truly is the ultimate combination if you ask me! As the treatment drew to a close I genuinely felt as if I was drifting on a cloud, with a new sense of lightness like a weight had been lifted off me. After I had robed up, my therapist and I had an in-depth chat about what she noticed and explained the findings of the foot mapping. We then discussed what I was going to do following the treatment and how I can implement positive energy into my daily rituals, almost like a mini therapy session to conclude what can only be described as one of the most grounding experiences I have ever encountered.
Grey Wolfe’s treatment menu is incredibly detailed and explains the unique philosophy behind each of the offerings so you can find the perfect one for you. Curated to promote inner peace, positivity, confidence and overall balance, Grey Wolfe is by far one of London’s best new wellbeing destinations that puts holistic practises and spirituality at the forefront. It’s always a good sign when you rebook just days after visiting, which I did! Definitely check out Grey Wolfe if you are on the hunt to experience a well-being treatment like no other.
