Open Water or Wild Swimming is a rapidly growing activity in the UK, with many praising the mental & physical health benefits of the sport, especially in cold water. But how safe is it? How do you start? And where should you swim?

This Introduction to Cold Water Swimming class teaches you all of this and more. We will look at how to find a safe swim spot. Entry & exit, technique, kit recommendations, swim etiquette, water safety, how to prepare for a cold dip and how to warm afterwards. And of course, we will enjoy a short dip together, in the beautiful stretch of Thames in front of The Swan, followed by a de-brief over a hot drink.

Why not make a morning of it and book at table for brunch
