Wildlife Ranger Challenge
October 3, 2020
Covid-19 has brought tourism revenues across Africa to a halt, leaving a huge deficit in conservation funding. Wildlife Rangers are now uniting around the Wildlife Ranger Challenge, a race with one goal: to raise money to support thousands of rangers and protect iconic African wildlife such as elephants, pangolins, rhinos, and lions.
Now is the time to go the extra mile—it’s time to race to support Wildlife Rangers.
To help the Wildlife Rangers, African Conservationists Tusk are asking for people all over the world to unite and take part in a virtual run with them on October 3rd. Whether it’s 5k, 10k, 15k or 20k, they would love as many people as possible to run or walk and donate to raise money to help protect over 7,000 men and women ranger teams across Africa, as well as the wildlife.
Register now to count your steps as a move towards bringing rangers back up to pre Covid-19 capacity so that they can protect wildlife and support communities.
The challenge has received global support from an array of internationally recognised people, including,Eluid Kipchoge, The Duke of Cambridge, Katherine Jenkins, and adventurers such as Bear Grylls and Levison Wood.
