For most of us, sitting at a desk for extended periods of time is an unfortunate fact of working life. Now we’re all working from home away from our proper desk set-up, it can be all too easy to slump on the sofa with our laptops thinking we’re comfortable in that position when in actual fact, it’s causing havoc on our posture! Do you also find yourself only ever leaving your dining table or sofa set-up to go to the coffee machine, rubbing your eyes because you’ve been staring at your laptop too long? Us too. As we settle into WFH life, we’ve come to realise that it might be time to invest in our work stations and create a healthier set-up to look after our bodies. We acknowledge we’re in this for the long haul and actually, it’s encouraged the whole team to be more open to flexible working and it’s probably something we’ll continue with when COVID-19 is but a distant memory (we cannot wait for that!).

So, if you’re in the same boat as us and contemplating introducing flexi working as a long term plan, then below we’ve shared our top products that might be worth investing in to help you be healthier and more productive whilst WFH. You don’t have to have a separate office (lucky you if you do) to comfortably work from home. These recommendations will be beneficial even if you simply have your dining table as a desk.

A few important things to note, wherever you’re working, is to make sure your eyes line up with the top of the screen, your arms and legs position at a 90-degree angle (try not to cross your legs!) and your bottom is pushed to the back of your chair to provide as much lower back support as possible. A small cushion to support that area could also be beneficial depending on your chair.
