If you haven’t yet stepped foot into Third Space, you’re seriously missing out! They’ve just launched two new classes and we’re going to tell you all about them!
Lift is a strictly strength-focused workout class… if you are fed up of burpees and mountain climbers, you need to check this one out. Using heavy kettlebells and dumbbells, Lift is designed to challenge your body, building strength, improving form and sculpting lean muscles. Kicking off the class, a round of mobility exercises are completed to warm up and activate the muscles using bodyweight movements. Then straight into the nitty-gritty, the first tri-set, made up of one compound lift and two accessory lifts, is completed back to back with a 30-second break at the end of each tri-set. This is then repeated three times. Expect squats, deadlifts, lunges and rows. The weights should be challenging enough that you almost struggle to complete the last rep at the end of each set, this is what is really going to grow your muscles and physical strength! Three different tri-sets are completed using a variety of exercises to target your core, upper and lower body. At the end of the session, a short finisher round, using slightly lighter weights, is completed to burn out your muscles and finish on a high! This round consists of two exercises completed for 30 seconds each for a total of two rounds. Lift is a really great way to introduce weightlifting into your workout regime, with the guided help of expert instructors and a room full of people to motivate you through, you are bound to get an influx of endorphins and the inevitable DOM’s the next day.
The second newest arrival at Third Space is their ‘Just Ride’ class which is all about getting lost in the music whilst cycling to the beat. As opposed to Third Space’s other spin classes, Just Ride, is all about enjoying the ride and letting loose, but don’t misjudge, you will still leave dripping with sweat! Taking spinning back to its roots, Just Ride takes riders on a euphoric, musical journey curated by the Third Space DJ’s. Think pumping tunes from London-based artists to drive you through you all the way to the top.
