September always feels like the perfect time for a beauty cupboard refresh. After summer, we’re ready to swap lightweight holiday formulas for richer textures, rethink our routines and, perhaps most importantly, discover what’s actually new.
From a skin tint designed specifically with 40+ skin in mind to a new generation of haircare, clever treatment boosters and autumn-ready fragrance, these are the new beauty launches our editors are actually excited about this month.
Trinny London Fearless Skin Tint Drops
If there’s one new complexion launch we’re particularly intrigued by, it’s Trinny London’s Fearless Skin Tint Drops. Created with 40+ skin in mind, the lightweight formula offers buildable coverage with a luminous, skin-like finish, designed to even out the complexion without settling into fine lines.
For September, when we’re looking for something a little more polished than our summer tinted moisturiser but still want that fresh-skin finish, this feels like a very good place to start.
Hair deserves a little attention after a summer of sun, heat, swimming and generally being put through its paces. Clarins’ new Hair Therapy collection brings together shampoo, conditioner, mask, hair oil and scalp care, with a focus on looking after the hair from scalp to ends.
We particularly like the fact that the range looks at scalp health as well as the lengths, because healthy-looking hair really does start at the roots.
Niacinamide has become one of those skincare ingredients we all recognise, but Medik8’s new Niacinamide Peptides takes the familiar ingredient and combines 10% niacinamide with peptides, NAG and Zinc PCA.
It’s the sort of launch that makes us want to know more about what the formula is actually doing, rather than simply adding another serum to an already crowded shelf. Designed to help refine the look of pores, reduce visible blemishes and support the skin barrier, it’s one for anyone wanting a smoother, more balanced-looking complexion.
Noble Panacea RetiNAD+ Renewal Booster
For anyone who likes their skincare with a little bit of science and a lot of luxury, Noble Panacea’s RetiNAD+ Renewal Booster is firmly on our September radar.
The 10-day treatment combines three forms of vitamin A, including marine bio-retinoid, retinol and retinal, alongside NAD+ and niacinamide. Rather than introducing another product into your everyday routine indefinitely, it’s designed as an intensive 10-day treatment.
We like the idea of a concentrated seasonal reset, particularly as we move from summer into autumn.
Dr. Hauschka Nourishing Lipstick Lip Crayon
We’re always happy to find a good lipstick that doesn’t require quite so much commitment, and Dr. Hauschka’s limited-edition Nourishing Lipstick Lip Crayon ticks the box.
Available in four fresh shades including Peach, Cherry, Grapefruit and Lychee, the creamy crayon gives lips vibrant colour and a silky-matte finish, while rose wax and rose oil help keep them feeling comfortable.
It’s exactly the sort of product we’d keep in our handbag for September: easy to apply, no complicated precision required and enough colour to instantly make you look more put together.
September is also when our fragrance tastes start to shift. We’re beginning to crave something a little warmer, richer and more atmospheric than the citrusy scents that carried us through summer.
Enter Byredo Future Memories. The new Eau de Parfum is currently available in 50ml and 100ml, with blackcurrant, iris, vanilla and musk among its notes. It feels particularly well suited to that awkward bit of the year when we’re not quite ready for full winter fragrance but want something with a little more depth.
This is the beauty launch that feels made for busy September mornings. By Terry’s Matcha Mist Elixir is a milky, bi-phase face and body mist designed to hydrate, refresh and give skin a quick boost when it’s looking a little tired.
The matcha-infused formula can be used as part of your skincare routine, before makeup or throughout the day whenever your skin needs an instant refresh. It promises 24-hour hydration and that coveted fresh, glass-skin effect.
We can already see ourselves keeping this on our desk.
Rahua Rebalance Shampoo & Conditioner
And finally, we’re looking forward to trying Rahua’s new Rebalance Shampoo and Conditioner. The new ritual has been created specifically around scalp and hair balance, with a minimal-ingredient formula designed to clarify, soften and restore balance while still being gentle enough for regular use.
September feels like the right time to rethink your hair routine after the damage that summer can bring, and we like the idea of starting with the scalp rather than simply piling on more intensive treatments.
