The Founder Making Supplements Work For Real Life

Wellness is moving away from extremes and towards something far more realistic, simple, consistent habits that actually fit into busy lives. At the centre of this shift is a growing focus on supplements that support everyday wellbeing, without overcomplicating routines or promising overnight transformation.

We sat down with the founder of GP Nutrition to talk about how modern supplementation is evolving, why balance matters more than restriction, and what it really takes to support energy, mood and long-term health in a sustainable way.

What was the starting point for GP Nutrition, and what gap were you trying to fill in the wellness space?

I wanted to start GP Nutrition because I was seeing and hearing so many of my clients overwhelmed by complicated diets, extreme routines and quick fixes. The brand was born out of a desire to help everyday, busy people maintain a healthier lifestyle and incorporate more nutrition into their diet. I wanted to create something that simplified nutrition and supplementation, making it accessible, effective, and easy to integrate into everyday life.

Your approach focuses heavily on “real life wellness”, what does that look like in your own routine?
For me, it’s about consistency over perfection. I prioritise balanced meals, ensuring I am getting enough fibre, protein and other important nutrients to support my gut. It also includes good hydration, quality sleep, and movement that I enjoy. It’s not about rigid rules, it’s about habits that fit into my lifestyle and can be maintained long-term, even on busy days.

What does your personal supplement routine look like on a typical day?
I keep it very targeted. I start every day with a high-quality multivitamin (usually, EverydayMe) and an Omega-3 supplement. I also make sure to take a good Astaxanthin to protect my skin. Then in the evenings I take magnesium supplements to restore my muscles and help me relax.

Are there any GP Nutrition products you personally use consistently, and why those?
I consistently use MetaboliseMe and Fibre supplements to support my nutrition and improve my gut health. Taking MetaboliseMe before a meal helps me stay fuller for longer and fibre supplements are so important to maintain blood sugar levels throughout the day. As we’re aproaching the summer months, I regularly take RadiantMe to ensure I am hydrating from within to keep my skin, hair and nails healthy.

Why do you think supplements have become such a key part of modern wellbeing routines?
Modern lifestyles can make it difficult to get everything we need from diet alone. Stress, poor sleep, and convenience-driven eating all impact nutrient levels. Supplements can help fill those gaps, but they should complement -not replace – a balanced diet.

What are the most common issues you see in clients today when it comes to energy, stress and nutrition?
Low energy, poor sleep, and blood sugar imbalances are incredibly common. Many people are under-fuelled, relying on caffeine, or not eating regularly enough. Stress also plays a huge role as it impacts everything from digestion to hormone balance.

How do you approach creating supplement routines that feel simple rather than overwhelming?
I always start with the basics and build from there. As I mentioned, there’s no need for an extensive routine, often a few well-chosen supplements can be far more effective than taking lots of different products. It’s about being targeted and intentional.

What does “healthy” look like to you today compared to when you first started in nutrition?
It’s much more balanced. Earlier on, there was more focus on restriction and control, whereas now I see health as something that supports your life, not limits it. It’s about feeling energised, resilient, and able to enjoy both the structure and the flexibility that comes with a sustainable approach.
