Sun’s out, bums out! With the taste of warmer weather and your long-awaited travel plans soon to become a reality, there’s no better time to start thinking about what to pack! From plane to paradise, these are the summer travel essentials we won’t be leaving home without.

Herbivore Botanicals After Sun Mist Soothing Aloe Mist

Herbivore Botanicals After Sun Aloe Mist

If you’ve ever returned to your hotel room only to find you’ve gone a rather bright shade of lobster, then you aren’t alone! Be sure to pack Herbivore Botanicals After Sun Soothing Aloe Mist as an instant refresher for delicate pink skin. Nourishing aloe, peppermint oil and lavender oil work to calm redness and accelerate the skin’s natural healing process. Top tip: put in the mini bar fridge so it’s cool when you get in from your day at the beach

Kayu Woven Straw Tote

Everyone needs the perfect straw tote for days lounging by the beach and we love our woven straw tote from Kayu. It’s an ideal size (we use it as our carry on so it doesn’t get squished in the suitcase) yet stylish enough to get you through lunch at Club 55 followed by an afternoon of soaking up the sun on Pampelone beach. You can also customise your tote by choosing your own initial stitched on the front.

Institut Esthederm Adaptasun

Institut Esthederm Adaptasun

We think beauty content creator, Ruth Crilly, nailed it when she labelled Insitute Estherderm “the Rolls Royce of suncare” on her blog. With no SPF number on the bottle, it can feel a bit unnerving stepping out into the sun without the guarantee on your trusty SPF 30. But these guys have been researching safe suncare for yonks and have a very different approach to protecting your skin. Instead of simply blocking UVA/UVB rays, the products are also designed to help the skin gradually adapt and protect itself from the sun. Sounds weird, but you’ll never go back.

Ilia Cucumber Water Stick

Ilia’s Cucumber Water Stick is the perfect product to lather on your sunkissed complexion after a day in the sun. It’s incredibly cooling and hydrating especially if your skin is prone to dryness or you simply need an extra dewy plump before dinner. Blended with cucumber pulp, aloe extract and anti-inflammatory chicory root, this portable skin saviour will be a permanent fixture in your cosmetic case.

Aveda Protective Hair Veil

Aveda Protective Hair Veil

It’s important not to forget about your hair whilst on holiday as, it too, can be damaged by prolonged sun exposure. We’ll be reaching for Aveda’s Sun Care Protective Hair Veil, a lightweight, water-resistant UV defence mist that shields your delicate locks from harsh UV rays. The good thing is that it’s 100mls so it can breeze through airport security in your hand luggage. (We also love their Sun Care Hair + Body Cleanser from the same line which deeply cleanses to remove salt and chlorine buildup).

Dr Sam’s Flawless Daily Sunscreen

When a top dermatologist brings out a skincare line, you buy ALL of it. Dr Sam Bunting is known to be one of London’s most sought-after derms and her new skincare line has been raved about ever since it launched just a few months ago. A newly added SPF spread joy amongst beauty journos and bloggers and we have to say, it’s probably the most gorgeous texture and finish you could possibly get in a facial SPF. No ghostly white residue, just a beautiful formulation with all the protection you need.

Better You Vitamin Sprays

Better You Vitamin Sprays

If you’re anything like us, you like to stay healthy even on the go and we’ve recently discovered Better You’s nifty vitamin sprays which are ridiculously useful when travelling. No need to pack pills that require water to chug back, just a few squirts of vitamin-infused spray and you’re good to go. Since our bid to eat more plant-based started in the New Year, their new Vegan Health Daily Oral Spray has been our go-to supplement to help provide us with extra top-ups of D3 and B12. Genius!

Tan-Luxe Self Tan Drops

With the help from Tan-Luxe, we’re avoiding that pasty look on day one of our holidays by incorporating their self-tan drops into our moisturiser in the lead-up. This is such an amazing product to help provide you with a pre-holiday glow minus the streaks of your classic fake tanner. We also love their face self-tan drops which are great if you like to keep your face protected and out of the sun.

Stay Wild Swim One Piece

Stay Wild Swim One Piece

It’s our golden rule that we always pack one bikini or suit in our hand luggage in case our suitcase in the holdall goes walkabouts. Airport-bought bikinis are not the most flattering! We love Stay Wild Swim for their flattering styles and sustainable fabrics and they’ve just launched their newest collection! We’re all over their Luna One Piece!

Luxe + Hardy Merino Wool Eye Mask

If you want to get some shut-eye on your flight to paradise then invest in a gorgeously soft eyemask to help block out harsh cabin lighting. We adore everything from Luxe + Hardy and have recently invested in their 100% Merino Wool Eyemask. Its beautiful hand embroidery says “Shhhhh” and we won’t be travelling without it this summer!
