While the road towards summer travel may currently look a little bumpy, we do still feel hopeful that holidays will be able to happen in some shape or form this year. Long-haul travel looks a little more up in the air (excuse the pun), but Europe could well be on the cards. Of course, there’s no crystal ball to reveal exactly what the next few months will entail and the government have advised to hold off booking international travel until we know more about how the vaccine and social distancing has impacted death rates and hospitalisations. While you may not be filled with confidence about when you’ll next hop on a plane, domestic travel is certainly a lot more predictable and a safer bet when planning a post-lockdown holiday. The summer staycation is going to be the theme for 2021 and we’re really excited about exploring more of the UK. There are so many beautiful corners of the country to be discovered and appreciated and we think it’s going to highlight that you don’t need to book a plane ticket in order to get a lovely holiday.
There’s no doubt things are going to get booked up very quickly (they already have) so while it is a small gamble to place your bets on a cottage overlooking the cornish coastline, we’ve selected our favourites to consider booking before anyone else does! With many companies and booking websites now offering favourable cancellation policies in order to attract business, we think it’s a good idea to start planning your post-lockdown summer staycation.
