These Peanut Butter Hunger Balls do exactly what their name suggests – they curb your hunger. Full of high quality plant-based fat to sufficiently fill you up and keep you full throughout the day, they make the perfect on-the-go snack for when there are no other healthy options around. You can also make a batch at the weekend and keep them in the fridge to reach for during the week – as a late afternoon pick-me-up or even as a post work out fill-me-up. They are also completely sugar-free, ensuring you won’t crash an hour later.
Ingredients
½ cup of raw cashew nuts
¼ cup of rolled oats
¼ cup of cashew butter (always Meridian!)
2 tbsp of peanut butter
2 tbsp of cacao nibs
1 tbsp of maca powder
Method
Simply throw all the ingredients into a food processor (apart from the cacao nibs) and blitz until a dough-like ball forms.
Remove from the machine and combine with the cacao nibs in a separate bowl. Take bite sized chunks and roll a ball in the palms of your hands.
Place into the fridge to set. I also recommend keeping in a sealed mason jar and they’ll keep for up to a week.
