Smoothies are undoubtedly one of the easiest ways to pack a whole load of goodness in one sitting. Providing you get a good blend of greens, fruit, fats and protein (almond butter ticks both those boxes) then you’re on to a winning recipe to start the morning! Here’s my Morning Green Cleanse Smoothie…
1 handful kale
1 cup of frozen pineapple/mango
1 celery stalk
1/2 ripe banana
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon almond butter
(optional – green liver powder – TerraNova/BioCare)
Soak the dates in water for 10 minutes until soft.
Add all ingredients into a food processor and blend until a thick batter forms.
Roll into equal size balls and chill for 20-30 minutes.
