With Christmas just around the corner, we’ve rounded up our top 5 Hip & Healthy Christmas recipes to make on the day! Read on for a tastebud tantalizing array of not-so-naughty Christmas treats.

Christmas Porridge

We love our oats soaked overnight in brown rice milk with berries, cacao and maca, or blended into thick creamy smoothies – but let’s be honest, when it’s oh so brrrr outside, eating them hot is simply the best. For porridge, texture is key; We love ours milky and creamy with a crunchiness from the fruit and a nuttiness from ground seeds or a spoonful of nut butter. In this recipe, we’ve made a cashew and cinnamon cream to turn this breakfast into the most awesome, nourishing feast. It goes so amazingly well with the pomegranate, tangerine and coconut and adds that a little Christmas flavour to the bowl. Make it for the whole family on Christmas morning for a festive yet nourishing start to the day!

Christmas Truffles

These cranberry, pistachio, coconut and lemon bites are the essence of Christmas. Rich in taste and so delicious – the sweet and zingy flavours from the cranberry and lemon gives them a sugary sherbet flavour whilst the mellow pistachios and coconut make these treats nutty and wholesome. So simple, they take 5 minutes to make, and go down a treat with everybody! Make a big batch to last you the whole holiday season, so whenever that sweet tooth hits you, you know exactly where to go.

Christmas Kale Salad

Whilst the words salad and Christmas don’t usually go hand in hand, this festive sweet and savoury kale salad will be sure to change your mind. A hearty array of crunchy pecans, luscious kale and sweet cranberries with the addition of a creamy orange-tahini dressing makes for a satisfying yet amazingly healthy dish that acts as the perfect side to your Christmas main or as a incredibly nourishing starter dish. We love!

Christmas Pudding

Just because you’re embracing a healthy lifestyle, doesn’t mean you should have to miss out on all the yumminess of the Christmas season! We are obsessed with the white chocolate drizzle which we’ve been known to eat solo by the spoonful so if you’re anything like us, make sure you make enough for some pre-pudding tasting too!

Consisting simply of chestnuts, butternut squash and a dash of salt, this recipe makes for the most delicious addition to any accompanying Christmas dishes; dollop onto your turkey, stir through salads and drizzle over roast veggies for an amazing dose of goodness and flavour we know you’ll love.
