Green powders have long been hailed as the wellness junky’s elixir and with good reason. A good green powder is a perfect way to prioritise your veggie intake without having to spend a lot of time peeling, chopping, prepping and juicing and add to that the cleanup time too. In other words, green powders are a wellness-must for busy people everywhere. However, not all green powders are created equal, which is why we’ve teamed up with one of the best green powder makers in the business.

Superfoodies’ mission is to help you on the path to optimum health with their amazing range of supplements and powders. They offered to send me a tin of their Green Powder at just the right time, I had been knocked sideways by laryngitis and was so keen to start getting better. Packed with 31 organic ingredients, Superfoodies Raw Plant-Based Green Juice is vegan, free from soy, dairy, GMO and gluten. There are also no artificial sweeteners, with just a tiny amount of natural sweetness coming from the fruits, such as blueberries and raspberries, in it.

When sick – the last thing you want to do is spend ample of time juicing and then cleaning up (we all know that the cleanup process takes 10 times as long as the making and drinking!) just to make sure you are getting enough goodness in. The first thing that stops a lot of people from buying a ready-to-drink green powder is taste. At Superfoodies, however, they’ve managed to make theirs taste good enough that all you need to add is water, so it was so quick and easy to make myself a green juice that it would have been criminal not to do it. I had a glass in the morning and a glass in the evening for an extra top up of healthiness before bed.

As I started to get better, I began to experiment with the powder in smoothies and made some so good that I had to share the recipes below. As well as being excellent for the immune system Superfoodies’ Green Powder is also high in fibre and rich in a bunch of essential vitamins such as Vitamin K, Vitamin C, and Vitamins B9 and B12. Not to mention, it’s mineral content is excellent with their green powder being a great source of iron, magnesium and calcium too.

So how did all these incredible ingredients make me feel? For starters, Superfoodies Green Juice can help your energy levels, starving off feelings of tiredness and fatigue and I certainly felt like I had more in me once I had my morning juice, suffice to say that I no longer needed that mid-morning coffee I had been relying on. As a massive bonus, the green juice has also helped increase my hair and nail strength and it can also keep bones strong and connective tissue in good condition too. And last, but certainly not least, with every 10g serving you’ll also get 1.25 billion probiotics to ensure a healthy, happy gut, which studies now show is not only essential for good digestion but also immunity too.

Although my kids weren’t quite ready to do the Green Juice on its own with water, they happily slurped away on their smoothies none the wiser that there was a great source of daily veg in there. And to that, we say “cheers”.
