The last few months have seen an abundance of gorgeous activewear collections (and some new brands) launch on Hip & Healthy and because we hand pick and test run every piece, the H&H team do have quite an extensive activewear wardrobe!

As we all enjoy different forms of exercising, we thought you’d like to have a peek at what we wear to help give you some inspiration and a bit more insight into some key pieces that might have been gathering dust in your wish list!

LNDR Defence Jacket
I love to run so much that the weather very seldom puts me off. But when there are dark clouds on the horizon I love to sling on this light-weight waterproof LNDR jacket to ensure I stay dry. It’s perfect for those April showers as often the rain won’t last long and when the sun comes out it is light enough to not feel too hot in. Plus, it is the easiest jacket to tote around as it rolls up into a tiny ball in your bag! And the icing on the cake… you can bung it in the washing machine.

APL Trainers
I’ve been a Nike devotee nearly all my life but when we launched APLs I just had to take them out for a spin and to my sheer delight they felt amazing and I had one of my best runs yet. Built initially for basketball, APLs have been proven to help you jump higher, and were in fact banned from NBA for giving competitors an unfair advantage. What this means for those who choose running as their form of working out, is a cushioning shoe that is as supportive as it is stylish. Plus my shin splints have completely vanished!

Falke Versatility Maximum Support Sports Bra
As running is a high impact sport that I do almost every day, my sports bras need to be on point if I want to avoid getting saggy boobs by the time I am 35! But sports bras that genuinely support you tend to be the most hideous things to look at (think somewhere between a nursing bra and a 1950s bullet bra) then we came across Falke. Finally, a sports bra that delivers on its promise of supporting your boobs whatever paces you put them through plus, its zipper front makes it easy to take off /put on and you wont be embarrassed if your boyfriend catches you in it.

MZ Wallace Metro Backpack – Paloma
It will come as no surprise to the people closest to me that I love a good bag purchase! So when this MZ Wallace beauty walked through our doors, I knew I had to have it. Plus that beige colour… I mean, I couldn’t resist!  I’m also a complete convert to back packs after years of carrying a heavy bag on my shoulder full of ballet shoes, tutus, hairspray, arnica cream and copious amounts of spare hair ties and pins when I was training to be a ballerina, I now always look for a stylish back pack to carrying my belongings! MZ Wallace’s Metro Backpack is made from their signature foldable, durable Quilted Oxford Nylon that you can honestly scrunch up and it will never loose it’s shape! I like to pop my mini S’well bottle in the side pocket and any valuables in the detachable travel pouch that comes inside! I also love going on weekend trips so this really comes in handy for travelling!

LNDR Tempo Sports Bra
Sports bras seem to be the most difficult thing to find but when you find a brand that suits your shape, it’s brilliant! This is my second LNDR sports bra and I really love the compression element and the band that sits just underneath your boobs. It so so comfy and un-restrictive so it’s perfect for when I head to reformer pilates and want to feel supported but still be able to move with ease. As a bit of a fabric snob, I’m such a big fan of LNDR in general due to the incredibly high standard of fabrics they use and their seamless, circular knit technology. Plus their subtle, neutral styles and panelling just win me over every season.

Alo Yoga Goddess Leggings
Another important feature I look for in leggings is a high waist band. I can’t even tell you how confident and happy I feel when I’m wearing a pair of leggings that hug my tummy in all the right places, and these Alo Yoga Goddess Leggings with their new High Waist had to become part of my activewear wardrobe as soon as they dropped online. These are definitely designed for low-impact workouts like pilates and yoga, and I love how I can just through on a cosy jumper and a cute jacket and head to my favourite brunch spot (it’s Hally’s in Fulham if you’re wondering!) and still look stylish. Again, their performance fabrics meet my requirements for comfort and durability… I basically live in them, even on days when I definitely have no plans to workout!

Falke Long Compression Leggings
Just like the day I tried my first pair of Falke tights, the moment I pulled on these leggings, I was in love! The fit, the quality, everything about these leggings screamed performance and luxury. The exceptional quality of Falke means you can push your limits when training while feeling totally comfortable. Their compression technology is used to reduce muscle vibration so you can really push yourself to get that much further up the leader board while the sweat wicking fabric keeps you cool in a hot spin class! I honestly don’t know if I can wear any other leggings now!

LNDR Synchro Tank
I love the cool, modern designs of LNDR and this two-in-one tank doesn’t disappoint. The built in seamless bra is comfortable with the perfect amount of compression, while the loose fit of the tank adds a relaxed cool style to the design… Effortless and functional, what is not to love!?

Lucas Hugh Kimono
This is the perfect transitional piece for going to and from spin classes or for an off duty look. The fleece material and fit is so snug, you will never want to take it off! This kimono does not compromise on style and functionality and is my every day favourite athleisure piece for throwing on after and hard session on the bike!
