For the 12 days leading up to Christmas day, we’re giving you a little insight into how some of our favourite wellness influencers are spending Christmas, their favourite parts of the festive season and little nuggets of wisdom!
On the 2nd day of FITMAS, we’re hearing from the always energetic, happy and inspiring Julie Montagu… world-class yoga teacher and author!
Is there anything you can’t resist during the festive period?
Yes, Eggnog! I grew up in America drinking it all of the time over Christmas and so I have to have it here in England every Christmas without fail!
What’s on your Christmas wish list?
I want to sleep. I told my 4 kids that all I want for Christmas is SLEEP!
What are you most looking forward to in 2018?
Definitely, hands down, being asked to be one of the BBC presenters for the Royal Wedding in May! Still pinching myself that they’ve asked me to cover the wedding in Windsor!
What’s been your best moment of 2017?
Definitely starting my own Julie Montagu School of Yoga and selling out all 30 places. I actually could not believe it but have worked so hard in making this a reality so it’s def. been the highlight of my 2017.
How will you be celebrating New Year’s Eve?
Sleeping again. I just can’t wait to sleep over the holidays!
What do you do to stay fit over the festive period?
Take long, long walks down at Mapperton which is where we spend Christmas and it’s so a beautiful place to take those long, refreshing walks!
