Whether you are new to training; you want to gain the confidence to enter the free weights area in the gym without fear of judgement; or if you simply want to learn how to execute the correct technique to improve your skill, reduce risk of injury and make the most out of your lifts – these workshops are calling your name.
FLEX will break down all of the essential teaching cues of the two most essential compound movements – the barbell squat and deadlift.
You will learn how to execute each movement correctly and effectively, gain the knowledge and skill to be able to activate all of the essential muscles required in each lift so your lift is smooth, looks beautiful and you are able to perform it without the fear of doing it wrong, preventing injury risk, and being able to progress fast when it comes to upping the weight on the bar. We all want to be able to comfortably lift our own body weight, don’t we?
You will be educated on what progressive overload is, why it is important and how to use it simply to progress your lifts and reach your desired goals.
FLEX believe every woman should feel confident whether there’s a barbell on their back or they’re picking it up off the floor. The mission is to help as many women as possible to achieve their goals.
With three 2-hour workshops spaced a fortnight apart, FLEX aim to grow build your knowledge as you progress through the series. If you’re not a beginner, not to worry, you don’t have to start with Workshop 1, jump in to whatever stage you’re at.

- Workshop 1- The Foundations- Sunday 12th September (bodyweight and heavy dumbbells)
- Workshop 2- Raising the Bar – Sunday 26th September (bar work)
- Workshop 3- Adding Load- Sunday 10th October (deeper dive into progressive overload & accessory movements)
