Cyprus is more than just late nights in Ayia Napa, it’s actually a sanctuary for wellbeing, a place where natural beauty meets mindful living. From coastal resorts to mountain retreats, farm-to-table dining to specialty coffee spots, the island offers a rich tapestry of experiences designed to nourish body, mind, and soul. Here’s your guide to the best wellness escapes, active pursuits, and healthy havens on the island.
Where to Stay
Limassol offers a mix of boutique hotels and urban comfort. The brightest gem is Alasia Hotel, welcoming guests with its family-owned warmth, cozy lobby with lit candles, and calming beige and white interiors that feel like a home away from home. Make sure to book a few days here for amazing food at The Polo Bar, relaxing days by the stunning pool, and rejuvenating spa evenings. The healthy breakfast buffet is also to die for, and the staff is beyond service-minded. Moreover, The Icon provides a modern stay in the high-rise building overlooking the coastline. The incredible rooftop terrace and bar is a must to check out (make sure to go for lunch or just unwind by the pool), and don’t miss the fully equipped gym with jaw-dropping vistas thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. The prime location makes it a perfect option for a city stay, close to everything you need. Sunset Gardens, with brand new and modern apartments, is also a great option if you’re bringing the whole family and want a gated community (the first sustainable one in Limassol) close to the city centre, near great shopping, and the beach. Enjoy amazing amenities, such as a gym, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, and a pool.
The Agora Hotel offers a peaceful retreat nestled in the mountains of the historic village Lefkara. Stroll along the cozy streets and buy some local famous lace linen cloths, and make sure to visit the olive farm nearby for a tasting and delicious souvenirs to bring back home. This serene and stunning boutique hotel is intimate and personal, with picturesque rooms and offering everything from a gorgeous courtyard pool and relaxing bar, to delectable food in the restaurant. The homemade granola and yoghurt in the morning is outstanding, and make sure to order their green juice and ginger shot as well. The lovely Scandinavian owners have done such a great job of creating this iconic hideaway on the island, and it’s one of those places you want to come back to over and over again.
In Paphos, the Anassa Hotel and Almyra stand out for their luxurious wellness programs, combining spa treatments and yoga in breathtaking coastal settings. The adults-only M Boutique Hotel offers a design-centric, tranquil space for those looking to unwind in style. The gorgeous hotel Cap St Georges also provide serene coastal retreats where wellness and comfort meet, perfect for those seeking calm near the sea. Enjoy breath-taking views, incredible food (choose among Italian, teppanyaki, homemade ice cream, and more), an amazing spa, a lovely beach club, and stunning rooms with sea-views. For a mountain escape, drive about 30 minutes from Paphos up to Minthis Resort in the Troodos Mountains, where this hotel presents a comprehensive wellness experience too with a luxurious spa, thermal pools, the most beautiful Pilates studio, a fully equipped gym, and hiking trails that meander through fragrant pine forests, offering an immersive nature connection.
Where to Eat
Mindful nourishment is abundant across the island. In Limassol, The Melting Pot Concept serves fresh, wholesome food in a community-driven space (try their salads), while Uluwatu Specialty Coffee is ideal for your morning caffeine fix with care. Astry is also a favourite places that combines healthy food with wellness workshops, and Matcha Theory is your go-to for a morning matcha latte and matcha cookie. Don’t miss to check out Beautyon82 for some clean beauty while you’re in the area. For dinner by the sea, head to Pier ONE Restaurant in Limassol Marina, which delivers fresh seafood and Mediterranean flavors in a lively yet relaxed setting overlooking the beautiful coastline walk and ocean. FRESHA Healthy Cuisine is another great option on the pier, right next to Pier ONE. Go there for a matcha, juice, a healthy treat, and gorgeous views.
Moreover, Bol Smoothie Bar & Specialty Coffee in Paphos offers nutrient-packed smoothies and ethically sourced coffee, perfect after a morning workout or hike.
