Welcome to Hip & Healthy’s 12 days of FITMAS! What is this, you might ask? For the 12 days leading up to Christmas day, we’re giving you a little insight into how some of our favourite wellness influencers are spending Christmas, their favourite parts of the festive season and little nuggets of wisdom!

On the 5th day of FITMAS, PT and model, Toby Huntington-Whiteley, is sharing how to get back on track with your fitness after Christmas and a little Christmas gift to help you do just that!

What do you do to stay fit during the festive period?
I will keep to my normal training routine 4-5 times a week up until Christmas Eve but then I will give myself a break over Christmas. I do always try to fit in a training session on New Years Day whatever state I’m in – I like to start as I mean to go on.

What do you eat on Christmas Day?
Everything. I do not hold back at all. All the food and no guilt. Christmas Dinner is the best meal of the year.

Cold Christmas or Hot Christmas?
I’ve only had one hot Christmas and it was in LA, it wasn’t scorching hot but it was lovely to be able to walk along the beach in the sun. That being said, I would still prefer a cold Christmas at home, it doesn’t really feel like Christmas to me unless it’s cold, grey and raining outside and I’m playing games by the fire with my family.

Best moment of 2017?
That’s easy, it has to be getting engaged. One of the best moments ever to be honest, I’ll never forget that day.

Advice for getting back on track after Christmas.
Book and pay for a class or PT for early January. Having something booked in makes you more likely to stick to you. Give yourself a break between Christmas and New Year.
